Job description

Job responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors warmly and professionally.

  • Direct patients to appropriate waiting areas or healthcare providers.

  • Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and handle inquiries regarding services, treatments, and office procedures

  • Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details, demographic data, and medical history

  • Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments, ensuring efficient use of healthcare providers' time.

  • Manage appointment cancellations and waitlists.

  • Remind patients about upcoming appointments, ensuring timely attendance.

  • Manage and update patient records using electronic health records (EHR) or other relevant systems.

  • Handle patient check-ins, data entry, and filing of important documents.

  • Assist with clerical duties, including preparing medical charts, patient forms, and patient education materials.

  • Verify insurance information and process co-pays.

  • Assist patients with basic billing questions and direct them to appropriate staff for detailed inquiries

  • Ensure patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA or local privacy laws.

  • Maintain a clean and organized reception area, ensuring that all patient data is secure and confidential

  • Handle and respond to urgent situations with professionalism and calm, including directing emergency cases to the appropriate personnel.

  • Coordinate with healthcare providers in emergency or urgent care scenarios

  • Maintain office supplies and order items as needed.

  • Provide basic information about the facility’s services and assist in patient education

Qualifications

  • A2 certificate in accounting

    2 Years of relevant experience

  • Advanced Diploma in Business Administration specialized in Accounting

    2 Years of relevant experience

  • Advanced Diploma (A1) in Management

    2 Years of relevant experience

  • Advanced Diploma (A1) in Accounting

    2 Years of relevant experience

  • Advanced Diploma (A1) in Finance

    2 Years of relevant experience

  • Diploma (A2) in Commerce and Economics

    2 Years of relevant experience

  • Diploma (A2) Commerce and accounting

    2 Years of relevant experience

  • Resource management skills

  • Proficiency in financial management systems
