Job responsibilities

Maintain and provide technical support for existing NIDA systems;

Provide technical support for existing NIDA databases and modify existing databases as circumstances change;
-
Responsible for designing, developing, implementing, managing and Troubleshooting Software/Applications/Databases;
-
Perform routine Audits of Databases and Applications;
-
Responsible for regular backups and implementation of data redundancy across multiple database systems;
-
Ensure that the Databases and Applications are up and running;
-
Ensure data synchronization across multiple sites and databases;
-
Implement comprehensive maintenance procedures for the database system and repair the damaged databases;
-
Implement database security policies including access authorization and authentication;
-
Provide daily support to systems users;
-
Train systems users and set up their accounts;
-
Recommend the supervisor on database management systems upgrades required;
-
Generate regular reports related to ID production and civil registration;
-
Provide daily support to stakeholders;
-
Train stakeholders and set up their accounts;
-
Define and model data requirements business rules and operational requirements for online services;
-
Collaborate on information gathering, documentation and process flow for new services to be added on different platforms;
-
Prepare and perform use case tests prior to service deployment on different platforms;
-
Follow up with the implementation of NIDA services on different platforms;
-
Investigate and collaborate with government platform; on change required after services are deployed on different platforms;
-
Produce monthly, quarterly and annual reports on activities and status of databases and application;
-
Advise supervisor accordingly.
