Job Summary
- To manage the safe and efficient operation of the thermal plant as well as the associated equipment, infrastructure and systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, review and implement operating policies, procedures, budgets, annual plans, power contracts, power rates and standing operating procedures.
- Monitor operation with optimum efficiency, availability and safety in accordance with the requirements of the power purchase agreement, good utility practice and all applicable laws and regulations.
- Evaluate current and formulate new short- and long-range maintenance goals to meet the needs and requirements of the plant management.
- Monitor that the water chemistry program for the plant is properly implemented, including testing, inspections, and maintenance of water treatment program
- Provide overall leadership of the unit staff and supervise and manage the performance and development of staff in the department in line with the Organization’s goals, objectives, policies and regulations.
- Develop the unit annual work plan and financial budget and monitor their implementation in line with the Business plan
- Develop periodic Thermal energy performance reports for management’s attention
Qualifications
- Masters in MECHANICAL ENGINEERING with 3 years of experience in POWER PLANT OPERATIONS, 3 years of experience in TRANSMISSION OPERATIONS, 3 years of experience in DISTRIBUTION OPERATIONS
- Masters in ELECTRO-MECHANICAL ENGINEERING with 3 years of experience in POWER PLANT OPERATIONS, 3 years of experience in TRANSMISSION OPERATIONS, 3 years of experience in DISTRIBUTION OPERATIONS
- Masters in RENEWABLE ENERGY with 3 years of experience in POWER PLANT OPERATIONS, 3 years of experience in TRANSMISSION OPERATIONS, 3 years of experience in DISTRIBUTION OPERATIONS
- Masters in ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING with 3 years of experience in POWER PLANT OPERATIONS, 3 years of experience in TRANSMISSION OPERATIONS, 3 years of experience in DISTRIBUTION OPERATIONS
- Masters in POWER SYSTEM ENGINEERING with 3 years of experience in POWER PLANT OPERATIONS, 3 years of experience in TRANSMISSION OPERATIONS, 3 years of experience in DISTRIBUTION OPERATIONS
