ORGANIZASTION OVERVIEW

APPES Shyorongi is a non-governmental Organization founded in 2016. It started a Nursery and Primary

School named Trust Mountain Academy in 2017. Its aim is to offer quality education and intellectual training to children satisfying the requirements to follow any level of studies with respect to their religious beliefs and individual freedom.

JOB SUMMARY

The school teachers greatly contribute to the intellectual, spiritual, moral and physical development of the young children assigned to their classes. They play a critical part in preparing them for future life and independence. Creative teaching methods must be employed to stimulate the child’s natural desire to learn and grow.

Key duties and responsibilities

1.Lead all activities with the assigned class

• Prepare lesson plans and outlines in accordance with the curriculum guidelines or requirements of the school or APPES Shyorongi;
• Teach lessons and facilitates or supervise a variety of non-academic activities which include art, crafts, story-telling, sport, nature walks, …;
• Arrange cultural activities to educate children in their culture;
• Involve students in the operations and maintenance of the school;
• Keep educational documents required by the school.

2. Creates a stimulating learning environment

• Maintain a positive degree of discipline inside and outside the classroom in order to create a safe secure and appropriate environment;
• Promote a warm, supportive, non-threatening ethos in which the child finds learning enjoyable and stimulating and in which respect and cooperation are emphasized;
• Use creative teaching methods to nurture the children’s interest in learning or to enhance the learning experience;
• Create a lively, stimulating atmosphere in the classroom by decorating the walls with teaching aids;
• Maintain the classroom in a neat and tidy condition in order to create an environment conducive to learning.;
• Manage students’ discipline while at breakfast or lunch.

3. Ensure educational development of each child

• Provide individual attention to each child, monitoring its educational progress and taking appropriate corrective action as necessary;
• Conduct academic support programs such as holiday classes, remedial classes and individual tutoring to meet the educational needs of each child;
• Develop and implement homework programs which may include project work, extra reading and other assignments;
• Prepare progress reports for each child as required by the school principal.

4. Act as a participating member of APPES Shyorongi

• Participate in all Parents-Teacher meetings;
• Perform other extra duties as required by the School Principal;
• Behaves in an exemplary manner at all times acting as a role model for the society;
• Maintain all furniture and equipment within the classroom in good order;
• Participate actively in APPES education week.

Qualifications, skills

• Must have a certificate A2 in the field of education with 2years of teaching experience;
• A high track record as a classroom teacher is an added value
• Can communicate in English and has professional IT skills
• Passionate about education and having compassion for children
