Job responsibilities
Design & Development:
-
Conceptualize, design, and test electromechanical systems (e.g., ventilation, wastewater treatment).

Research and integrate new technologies.
Compliance & Risk Assessment:
-
Ensure adherence to environmental laws and standards.
-
Develop and implement Environmental and Social Management Plans (ESMPs). Conduct environmental audits and risk assessments.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
-
Work with engineers, architects, and government authorities.
-
Facilitate stakeholder consultations and ensure compliance with safeguard policies.
Monitoring & Reporting:
-
Maintain documentation of ESMPs and environmental compliance reports.
-
Provide technical assistance and training on environmental safeguards.

Required competencies and key technical skills

Fluency in Kinyarwanda, English and/or French. Knowledge of all is an added advantage.

A Master’s degree Electromechanical, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering with at least 2 years of proven experience preferably in health infrastructure or waste management, or a Bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years of experience in the same field,
-
Proficiency with CAD software, MEP tools, and environmental management frameworks. Strong knowledge of mechanical and electronic systems.

Excellent problem-solving, attention to detail, and strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
