CALL FOR SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
The Catholic University of Rwanda is pleased to announce the availability of scholarships for the following undergraduate programs: Computer Science, Biomedical Laboratory Sciences and Human Nutrition. These scholarships are made possible through the generous sponsorship of the Young Women's Christian Association of Rwanda (YWCA) in partnership with OXFAM, with funding from Scottish Govemment.
The following are criteria for selecting the admissible candidates:
1. Application Requirements for YWCA Scholarship:
- Achieved a minimum score of 40/60 in the National Exam (Scicnces Options)
- Be a Rwandan
- Be a girl between 18-25 years of age (Except for persons with disabilities, where the age limit is extended to 30 years,
- Completed secondary school within in academic year 2021-2022 and before,
- Girls with any type of vulnerabilities are encouraged (Disability, Teen and Single Mothers, etc).
2. University application requirements:
- For Computer Science, program: Having in Advanced Certificate in one of the combinations including Mathematics or Physics as a core subjecis (MCE, PCM, MPG, MPC, PCB) or TVET in Computer Science and TTC in Sciences with Mathematics or Physics options and other related disciplines and at least achieved a minimum score of 40/60 at National Exam
- For Biomedical Laboratory Sciences and Human Nutrition Programs: Two principal passes with at least Grade C in Biology and Chemistry, Completed general secondary education with one of the following principal subjects: PCB. MCB. BCG
3. The application file must comprise:
- The notarized certificate of secondary school or equivalence as mentioned above,
- Copy of National ID or passport,
- Coloured passport -sized photographs
- For person with disability, any given proof is necessary.
