ASSISTANT MANAGER, LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT
Job Overview
The Assistant Manager, Learning and Development will facilitate the provision of learning and development services to equip the Bank sta and develop their competences to enable them eectively deliver their responsibilities. The holder of this position is responsible for planning of empowering employees’ growth and developing their knowledge, skills, and capabilities to drive better business performance.
Key Duties, Responsibilities and Accountability
- Conduct training needs analysis for the organisation as a whole and for each department in close collaboration with the units/departments.
- Identify the appropriate training required for various business functions within the Bank and suitable service providers to deliver the required services.
- Develop core curriculum and L&D interventions in line with the Bank’s strategy and provide guidelines with regard to sta development.
- Prepare the annual budget estimates for the learning and development interventions and monitor the expenditure on a regular basis.
- Develop and implement an annual training and development plan and ensure the execution of initiatives on a timely basis.
- Plan and implement induction trainings to ensure clear knowledge of the Bank’s Vision, Mission, Values, Philosophy, etc. for the new joiners and awareness for all staff.
- Contribute to the development of HR policies and procedures especially in training and development and career development for review by the Senior Manager, Talent Management and Organisational Effectiveness.
- Ensure clear career paths and talent management of sta.
- Monitor the delivery of internal and external training courses and evaluate the performance of service providers.
- Provide advice sta on training and development issues.
- Facilitate for sta to develop career development plans and ensure implementation and regular monitoring of the process.
- Conduct L&D monitoring & evaluation impact assessments to determine the return on investment.
Qualification, Experience, Skills and Attributes Education
- A Bachelor’s Degree in HR Management is essential or Business Administration/ Management with specialism of HR from a recognized university.
- Related postgraduate/professional qualications will be added advantage.
Experience
- At least 3 years’ experience HR Management preferably in a training and development role.
- L&D experience will be an added value.

- Good knowledge of general HR Management principles and practices.
- Computer literacy for report writing, excel or/and PowerPoint for presentation. Knowledge of any other HRISs will be added advantage.

- Strong inuencing and negotiation skills.
- Good integrity and professional ethics.
- Ability and passion to develop talent.
