ABOUT THE ROLE

The purpose of the Bilingual Assessor role is to administer high-quality language assessments in both English and French while ensuring an accurate and efficient assessment process. The role supports candidates throughout their assessment journey, maintains accurate assessment records, and contributes to continuous improvement of language assessment services through reporting and quality recommendations.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Administer comprehensive assessments in both French and English, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Conduct digital assessments using advanced tools and platforms to enhance efficiency and reliability.
  • Develop and distribute preparation tips to candidates, aimed at optimizing their readiness for assessments.
  • Generate detailed assessment reports for candidates, providing clear insights into their performance.
  • Maintain precise records and submit comprehensive reports to the Language Assessment management team.
  • Issue pre-assessments and post-assessments for candidates enrolled in the Bridge program, at both the beginning and end of the program.
  • Address candidate inquiries regarding assessments and results, offering thorough explanations and support.
  • Evaluate assessment quality and candidate experience and provide actionable recommendations to the Language Assessment Manager for continuous improvement.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Language Assessment Manager, contributing to the overall success of the assessment process.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Languages, Education or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of relevant professional experience in language assessment, language teaching, education, testing, or a related field.
  • Experience administering assessments and preparing detailed assessment reports.
  • Experience using digital assessment platforms and maintaining accurate records.
  • Experience communicating with diverse candidates and responding to assessment-related inquiries.
  • Fluency in both English and French (written and spoken).
  • Strong assessment, analytical, and report-writing skills.
  • Proficiency in digital assessment tools and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to explain assessment results clearly.
  • Experience administering language assessments or standardized language tests (preferred).
  • Experience working in education, language training, or assessment environments.
  • Knowledge of language proficiency frameworks (e.g., CEFR).
