Currently Equity Bank Rwanda PLC is seeking a competent individual to serve in the role of Digital Channels Senior Manager.

DIGITAL CHANNELS SENIOR MANAGER

The Digital  Channels  Senior Manager is responsible for the strategic direction of the Digital Channels  (Mobile & internet  Banking)  and  Billers of the  bank, facilitating  the  innovation, development, management, and execution of projects/initiatives and new products and collaborating  across the organization  to identify new products, features and enhancements that will competitively bring value and support the advancement of the Bank’ Digital payment strategy. The role holder will be reporting to Head of Payments.

KeResponsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Digital Channel Growth & Product Management:
  • Lead digital channel portfolio expansion through partnerships (Fintechs, MNOs, etc.)
  • Drive ideation, development, and launch of new digital products.
  • Formulate & execute innovative digital o erings, aligning  with business goals & customer experience.
  • Manage product roadmaps & business cases for digital channel growth.
  • Conduct market analysis & propose technology enhancements.
  • Define & monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for prioritized channels.
  • Ensure compliance with BNR regulations and Digital Channels policies & procedures.
  • Collaborate with IT for strategic technology implementation.
  • Biller Management & Lifestyle Payments.
  • Determine, document, and roadmap biller customer needs & lifestyle payments.
  • Drive biller projects & lifestyle initiatives, collaborating with stakeholders.
  • Articulate market trends & opportunities for biller/lifestyle products & services
  • Create user cases & product roadmaps for developers & designers.
  • Drive innovative solutions & collaborations with relevant teams.
  • Launch new biller/lifestyle products & enhance existing o erings.
  • Provide thought leadership across the product lifecycle (planning, design, etc.)
  • Manage teams delivering digital channels products & services.
  • Develop pricing strategies for all digital channels’ products & services.
  • Optimize operational e ciency through digital channels policy & procedure updates.
  • Strategic Leadership & Performance Management:
  • Leverage payments & innovation to expand customer o erings & engagement.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on biller propositions & overall business strategy.
  • Monitor initiative execution,  nancial performance, & product impact
  • Drive growth strategies for the biller business, including GTM plans.
  • Assess market competition within the payments & nancial services industry.

  • A passion for technological  innovation  and awareness of global  trends in digital  media technology.
  • Experience of delivering digital initiatives that have had measurable impact
  • Experience of managing  productive relationships with a range of external  partners
  • Strong presentation, negotiation and communication  skills.
  • Ability to prioritise and simplify stakeholder requirements
  • Experience   of   working   in   complex   organisations   with   a  wide   variety   of   internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to coach, mentor, train, and transfer skills to others.
  • Ability to work e ectively under pressure and deliver to targets.

Education & Quali cations – Requirements

  • At least 7 Years’ experience leading the digital payment agenda of a Bank/ FINTECH/ TELCO
  • 5 Years Managerial Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business/ IT or a related fi eld. Master’s degree with be value added.
  • Well experienced  in engaging with cross-functional  teams in a matrix organization  and successfully leading the sales pursuits.
  • Excellent  interpersonal  skills  with  an  ability  to  build  e ective  relationships  at  senior executive levels
  • Passionate, Enthusiastic, and demonstrable skills working in a team environment with the commitment to succeed.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Strong understanding of Digital Channels Business & operations
