Job Description

  • Develop and maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports that are appropriate for users;
  • Follow up daily operations of finance department and make necessary approvals of payments, and other financial documents;
  • Manage budget process & consolidation, including periodic re-forecasts;

  • Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures;
  • Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the Agency's fiscal function and performance;
  • Document and maintain complete and accurate supporting information for all financial transactions;
  • Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and petty cash;
  • Manage the cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts in accordance with the policy;
  • Oversee the bookkeeping function including maintenance of the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll;
  • Manage the acquisition of capital assets and ensure that assets are properly recorded, amortized, and disposed of as appropriate;
  • Manage RBA's financial accounting, monitoring and reporting systems;
  • Process and submit statutory and benefits remittances on time;
  • Establish guidelines for budget and forecast preparation, and prepare the annual budget in consultation with the Director General and Budget Officer;
  • Continuous review of all finance policies & internal control procedures;
  • Ensure business integrity, financial health, and control;
  • Put in place a debts recovery policy to facilitate cash inflow for the RBA;
  • Follow up with debt recovery officers to perform their daily tasks;
  • Negotiate with clients on ways of reducing their debts on a progressive manner;
  • Undertake any other task assigned by the supervisors.

Job Profile

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting or any other related field with ACCA or CPA qualifications with 5 years working experience.
