Job Title: Professional in charge of Tax Analysis and Revenue Forecasting

Supervisor: Supervisor for Tax Analysis and Revenue Forecasting

Location: HQ

Purpose

Under the supervision of Supervisor in charge of Tax analysis and Revenue forecasting, the Professional in Charge of Tax Analysis and Revenue Forecasting works with business functions to help the institution improve their policies, strategies, processes and systems typically through analysis and strategic thinking by conducting research and analysis in order to identify performance gaps and solutions to business problems, and to recommend innovations to improve business operations. A Professional officer may also perform selected operational and technical roles of a highly complex nature either on occasional or permanent basis based on the nature of the business function.

Key duties and responsibilities

1. Carry out various data analysis to inform the Revenue Performance Analysis and Reporting
2. Participate to the Updating and Maintenance of tax revenue analysis, forecasting models
3. Actively participate in the Revenue Performance analysis and reporting of it on Monthly and Quarterly basis
4. Participate in the updating revenue reporting tables and other daily revenue Cashflow reports;
5. Collect data on the evolution of Macro economics factors that influences Tax revenue performance
6. Perform any other duties related to RRA business as assigned by line manager

10. Master's Degree in Economics specialized in Sciences in Economics
11. Master's Degree in Economics specialized in Art in Economics
12. Master's Degree in Data Science specialized in Actuarial Science

1. Bachelor's Degree in Economics specialized in Monetary Economics

8. Bachelor's Degree in Applied Mathematics specialized in Statistics

Required Competencies

1. Analytical skills
2. In-depth knowledge and understanding of data analytical software and languages such as SQL, STATA, R, Python, SPSS and Excel;
3. Experience using econometric techniques, predictive analytics, data mining and statistical analysis for large, complex datasets would be an added advantage;
4. Data Visualization skills;
5. Critical thinking, time management, and decision-making skills;
6. Ability to communicate findings from complex analysis to a wide variety of audiences, through written reports and presentations;
7. Ability to follow specified procedures in planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating tasks to deliver outputs to meet required deadlines;
8. Ability to prioritize workloads and work under pressure;
9. Ability to work as a team member;
10. Excellent oral and written English; proficiency in French and Kinyarwanda is added value.
