Responsible for:
Functions / Tasks
Project results frameworks and applicant support
- Support applicants and project teams to develop logical frameworks, indicators, baselines, targets, data sources and reporting plans.
- Review the M&E sections of project proposals for clarity, measurability and feasibility, and provide practical feedback.
- Maintain project monitoring plans, indicator reference sheets and data collection tools.
Monitoring and Data quality
- Track project progress against agreed outputs, outcomes, milestones and targets; identify missing or inconsistent information.
- Review data submitted by implementing partners, conduct basic checks and follow up on corrections and supporting evidence.
- Participate in field visits, spot checks and verification exercises; document observations and agreed follow-up actions.
- Maintain accurate project records and update the Fund’s M&E database or tracking systems in a timely manner.
Analysis, Reporting and Evaluation
- Compile and analyse project data for monthly, quarterly and annual reporting, highlighting progress, delays and emerging risks.
- Review partner monitoring reports and provide clear feedback on data quality, results and reporting requirements.
- Contribute project evidence and concise analysis to consolidated Fund reports and presentations.
- Support the preparation and coordination of midterm and final evaluations, including document collection, data requests and follow-up on findings.
Partner support and learning
- Identify common M&E capacity gaps among implementing partners and help prepare practical guidance or training materials.
- Support partner training sessions on indicators, data collection, verification and reporting.
- Document lessons, case examples and results from project implementation, working with the communications team where appropriate.
Job Specifications/Profile:
Relevant Qualifications
A master’s degree in Environment Policy and Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation, Economic Planning and Policy, Business Administration, Statistics, Development Studies or Project Management or a related field with exceptional experience and proved performance.
Required Experience
At least 3+ years of relevant working experience in programs/projects planning, monitoring and evaluation, impact evaluation or research analysis. Working in international organizations or in complex projects and dealing with various stakeholders is an added advantage.
