Job description

Job Purpose:

Responsible for the overall leadership, management growth, and profitability of the Regional Business and implementation of an efficient and effective operational, Risk Management, customer service, and sales culture Grow.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop, grow, and monitor Regional Retails liability and asset portfolios with the aim of ensuring that the region (North & West Province) remains profitable, competitive and promptly reacts to the changes in both internal and external environments.

  • Contribute to and take a proactive role in the strategic direction of Retail Regional business including development and execution of regional strategic plans.

  • Overall management of the regional branch network to ensure superior service offered to all banks customers, reduction of operating costs by ensuring efficient utilization of Banks resources and reduction of fraud and losses through implementation of first-class corporate governance through adherence of set policies and procedures.

  • Ensure constant delivery of high-quality services in the timeliest and cost efficient manner, which ensures high level of customer satisfaction.

  • Forecast, plan, implement and monitor all regional sales, cost and expenditure activities within the set budget and proactively and promptly device remedial actions to minimizes the variances between the budget and actual performance.

  • Organize and manage the available regional human and physical resources. Coach mentor and develop a high performing team. Key ingredient being inculcation of a performance management framework.

  • Co-ordinate all regional activities and liaise with Retail head office and other divisions for all regionals requirements.

  • Motivate the team with clear responsibilities and accountabilities.

Daily Responsibilities

  • Forecast, plan implement and monitor all regional sales, cost and expenditure activities within set budget and proactively and promptly device remedial actions to minimize the variances between the budget and actual performance.

  • Portfolio Growth: Develop, grow and monitor retail liability and asset portfolios with the aim of ensuring that the region remains profitable, competitive and promptly reacts to changes in both the internal and external environment

  • Customer Care: Monitor and Manage customer complaints, constantly review service delivery standards and position staff in a way, which ensures maintenance of the highest service standards.

  • Co-ordinate all regional activities and liaise with Retail head office and other divisions for all regional requirements.

  • Leadership and branch coordination – Motivation and development of the staff competences to meet business requirements.

Educational qualifications and work experience:

  • At least 10 years of experience in Sales, Relationship Management, Credit, Bank Operations and Team Leadership.

  • Bachelor of Business Management/Business Related Field.

  • Master's Degree and Professional Qualifications in Banking will be an added Advantage.
