RELATIONSHIP OFFICER - PERSONAL BANKING
Job Purpose
The purpose of this job holder is to ensure the day- to-day timely customer credit facilities review and ensure impeccable customer experience.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Increase the bank customer base through new account opening, manage customer accounts, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date.
- Providing exceptional customer service to the existing/new customers,
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their nancial needs, and providing tailored advice and solutions to help them achieve their nancial goals,
- Promote and cross-sell banking products and services including current accounts, savings accounts, retail loans, debit cards & credit cards,
- Adhere to all banking regulations, policies, and procedures to minimize risk and ensure compliance.
- Ensuring growth in high quality asset portfolio.
- Monthly reviewing of existing facilities and champion debt recovery of his/her portfolio.
- Managing a portfolio by monitoring adherence to set conditions of sanction.
- Ensuring 100% compliance to the Bank’s lending policy.
- Ensuring turnaround time of Bank facilities as per the Bank credit policy.
- Ensuring authentication of documents related to facility appraisals &securities/collaterals.
- Preparing, analyzing and submitting accurate personal loan applications.
- Providing training & coaching customers on nancial literacy.
- Advising the Bank on acceptable lending risks.
- Maintaining individual portfolio at the acceptable PAR level.
- Any other duty assigned by the line manager.
- Able to negotiate MOUs with di erent institutions
Quali cation, Experience, Skills and Attributes
- Bachelor’s degree in a Business-related field
- Minimum of 2 years of service in the bank with at least 1 year of experience in credit analysis and/or credit sales
- Thorough knowledge of bank, credit policies & procedures.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret and evaluate nancial statements
- Good understanding of the banking industry
- Relationship Management skills
- Pro cient in the use of various Microsoft O ce Applications
- Excellent Communication Skills, Both Verbal and Written,
- Sound judgment.
- Adaptable to Change.
- Driven to Achieve Results.
- Action Planning, and Prioritization Skills.
- Ability to Work with a Team.
