Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic, persuasive, and results-oriented Sales Agent to promote and sell Masaka Creamery products across various market segments. This position plays a key role in building and maintaining customer relationships, increasing product visibility, and contributing to revenue growth. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, goal-driven, and aligned with Masaka’s values.

This role requires strong communication skills, a customer-focused attitude, and a willingness to travel to client sites, markets, and retail outlets.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

The main objectives and responsibilities of the position are to:

Sales & Customer Engagement

  • Identify potential customers and develop strategies to reach them.
  • Promote and sell Masaka Creamery products to retail and wholesale clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
  • Gather customer feedback and market intelligence to inform strategy.
  • Represent the company professionally in all client interactions.

Reporting & Coordination

  • Work closely with the Sales and Distribution team to align on targets and customer support.
  • Track and report sales activities, performance against targets, and market trends.
  • Manage customer orders and ensure timely delivery coordination with logistics team.

Product Knowledge & Brand Representation

  • Stay informed about product offerings, features, and value propositions.
  • Educate customers on product use, quality, and benefits.
  • Represent Masaka’s brand values and mission in all sales efforts.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven experience in sales, customer service, or related field.
  • Strong interpersonal and persuasive communication skills.
  • Self-driven with the ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Knowledge of the FMCG industry and Rwanda’s retail landscape is a plus.
  • Fluency in Kinyarwanda; conversational English is preferred.

Compensation & Working Conditions

  • Compensation: To be determined.
  • Paid Leave: Based on working schedule.
  • Travel: Candidate will work primarily from the company’s offices at Plot G5, Kigali Special Economic Zone, Kigali, Rwanda.
  • Duration: Seeking a minimum initial commitment of 1  year.
  • Reporting: Candidates will report to the sales and distribution Manager as well as work collaboratively with other department heads and team members.
  • Expenses: Candidate shall be reimbursed for business related airtime, transportation and other authorized business expenses.
