Job Description

The management of Energy Utility Corporation Limited (EUCL) informs the public that it is recruiting competent, qualified and experienced staff to fill the following position:

Job Summary

Ensure proper design of substations, supervises implementation and follow up operations of existing substations in line with EUCL objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervises the projects design as per approved designs and in line with company engineering Standards;

  • Assess potential risks, standards compliance, quality of materials and costs;

  • Coordinate daily projects execution activities and report the progress to the supervisor;

  • Ensure compatibility and integration with existing electrical infrastructure;

  • Elaboration of substation technical documents (Preparation of substation designs, BoQs and equipment technical specification),

  • Manage and review contractors' submittals and monitor the schedule to deliver the substation project on time;

  • Ensure of proper filing during implementation and closure (contracts, completion reports, as built drawings etc..),

  • Lead the technician teams on site; manage work performance of the teams in line with project schedules;

  • Use project knowledge to support maintenance teams during interventions or maintenance.

  • Prepare periodic reports;

  • Support procurement process by preparing the projects terms of reference

  • Ensure that the projects delivered adhere to the minimum requirement of legal, statutory and regulatory Safety & Environmental requirements;

  • Ensure the Commissioning of Projects is done compliance with EUCL and Regulator Safety regulations;

  • Ensure that Projects Technicians execute the work in accordance with Corporate, Regulatory and Statutory Safety Standards and policies;

Qualifications

  • A0 in MECHANICAL ENGINEERING, ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING
  • At least 3 year(s) in ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING
