SENIOR CORE BANKING ADMINISTRATOR

Summary of the Job

The Core Banking Administrator is responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing the core banking system to ensure smooth banking operations. This role involves overseeing system congurations, troubleshooting issues, implementing software updates, and working closely with IT teams to enhance the system’s performance and security.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

• System Administration: Oversee the daily administration and maintenance of the core banking system, ensuring its optimal performance and availability.
• User Management: Create, modify, and manage user accounts, roles, and permissions within the core banking platform.
• System Configuration: Configure and customize the core banking system to meet the organization’s business requirements and regulatory needs.
• Software Updates & Patches: Ensure the core banking system is updated with the latest patches, software releases, and enhancements.
• Troubleshooting & Support: Provide technical support for end-users, resolve system issues, and collaborate with vendors to resolve complex problems.
• Security & Compliance: Monitor and maintain system security, implement access controls, and ensure compliance with relevant banking regulations and industry standards.
• System Integration: Work with external vendors and internal teams to integrate third-party applications and services with the core banking system.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation related to system congurations, processes, and incidents. Generate regular reports for management on system health, usage, and performance.
• Training & Support: Provide training and ongoing support to end-users, ensuring eective system utilization and troubleshooting.
• Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor system performance, identifying and addressing potential issues before they impact operations.
• Project Involvement: Participate in core banking system upgrades, migrations, and new project implementations.

Qualification, Experience, Skills and Attributes

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Proven experience in administering core banking systems or similar enterprise software applications.
• Experience with specic core banking platforms (Finacle).
• Strong knowledge of banking operations, financial products, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with database management, system conguration, and software integration.
• Prociency in scripting and automation tools.
• Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with both technical and non-technical teams.
• Knowledge of system security protocols and best practices.
• Certifications in relevant technologies (Database Administration, Network, International standards, etc..).
