SONARWA Life Assurance Company Limited (SONARWA LIFE) is a public limited liability company registered under the laws of Rwanda and licensed by the National Bank of Rwanda to transact the business of life assurance and pension management. The company is looking for a competent and experienced person to take on the role of a Technical Business Analyst.

Job Description

As a Business Analyst, you will bridge the gap between the business needs and technical solutions within the organization. Your main tasks will include but not be limited to understanding the business requirements, analyzing processes, and translating them into technical specifications that can be implemented by the development team, documenting processes, and performing user acceptance testing. To succeed in this role, you should have a natural analytical way of thinking and be able to explain difficult concepts to non-technical users. You are a highly motivated individual, willing to learn and be part of the organizational transformation journey.

Reporting Line

  • The reporting line for this role is the Head of the IT department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gathering and analyzing requirements.
  • Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions.
  • Leading ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies.
  • Ensuring solutions meet business needs and requirements.
  • Provide high-level solution design with mocks and work closely with UX/UI developers to come up with delightful user interfaces.
  • Performing user acceptance testing.
  • Managing projects, developing project plans, and monitoring performance.
  • Updating, implementing, and maintaining procedures.
  • Prioritizing initiatives based on business needs and requirements.
  • Serving as a liaison between stakeholders and users.
  • Monitoring deliverables and ensuring timely completion of projects.

Required Experience

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar role or IT-related field.
  • The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.
  • Hands-on experience in reporting and presentation
  • A track record of following through on commitments.
  • Experience leading and developing top-performing teams.
  • A history of leading and supporting successful projects.
