Mission/Core purpose of the Job

The Manager, Key Accounts is responsible for identifying MFS business/sales opportunities, managing partnerships with Corporate and Organizational Clients, pitching products or services to new clients, and maintaining a good working relationship with business contacts. Additionally, they drive all corporate engagements to achieve business growth.

Key Performance Areas:

  • Ensure effective implementation of business development policies, procedures, tools and techniques within the team, under guidance from the SM Fintech Business Development.
  • Assist in building an in-depth knowledge of the client’s operating environment, business drivers, objectives, strengths and challenges to be able to develop and implement solutions to meet their strategic needs.
  • Manage the development of business engagement plans aimed at growing the Fintech clientele base and driving revenue.
  • Responsible for managing strategic partners across the Fintech ecosystem.

  • Manage engagement with corporate bodies and other institutions for new business opportunities
  • Develop a contact strategy, create and maintain an account development plan for each of the allocated accounts
  • Responsible for managing the identification of new business opportunities and providing guidance to the team in the follow up engagements
  • Manage the planning of business sessions with the prospective clients
  • Contribute towards increasing market share through the acquisition of new accounts as well as the development and maintenance of current accounts
  • Ensure full integration of quality management processes within all sales activities for the allocated regional accounts, ensuring effective deployment on a day-to-day basis
  • Undertake a deep dive into the client's business / understand their needs in depth to be able to provide best best-suited solutions to them.
  • Provide insights into product development based on business engagements. Where and when required, escalate the voice of customers to the product teams to assist in improving product performance
  • Manage the support to business development engagements in the regions by leveraging the Field Sales Team
  • Provide support with promotions design and execution
  • Implement and execute policies, procedures and guidelines cascaded by the functional lead and ensure the team complies with the same
  • Comply with the set governance mechanisms, under supervision from the functional lead and ensure the team does the same
  • Cascade the Group Fintech budget, analytics and reporting framework in the sub-function, under direction from the SM Fintech Business Development
  • Evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of Corporate Accounts and propose and offer suggestions for improvements
  • Report daily to the SM Fintech Business Development relating to progress made within the function and in accordance with the measurement metrics set by the organization.
  • Report on an ad hoc basis on specific projects, as required.
  • Abide by the strategy cascaded by the functional lead and assist in the creation of the sub-functional strategy
  • Ensure effective implementation of the functional strategy

Experience

  • Minimum 4 to 6 years relevant experience in a similar position with at least 2 years in a managerial role
  • Experience in Fintech, banking or financial services is preferred.
  • Successful track record as a senior professional with experience in Sales, Business Development, Account Management, etc.
  • Experience working in a global/multinational enterprise with a good understanding of emerging markets.

Education Background

  • Minimum of bachelor’s academic degree, coupled with an MBA/Master, would be advantageous.
  • A 4-year degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Marketing, Economics or a related field will be advantageous
