Job Purpose:
This job holder is responsible for the overall leadership, management, growth, and profitability of the Retail Banking Business and implementation of an efficient and effective sales culture, relationship and portfolio management, and delightful customer experience particularly within the Retail Banking portfolio and in the whole bank in general
Main Responsibilities:

Develop retail strategy to constantly grow the business and Generate leads for new business opportunities.

Develop, grow and monitor Retail Banking liability and assets portfolios with the aim of ensuring that the portfolio remains profitable and of quality.

Take a proactive role in the development of the strategic direction of Retail Banking, through leading the development of the unit’s strategic plan, as well as ensuring that the Bank’s objectives as related to the Retail banking are met.

Forecast, plan, implement and monitor all Retail Banking sales, costs, and expenditure activities within a set budget and proactively and promptly device remedial actions to minimize the variances between the budget and actual performance.

Organize and manage the available Retail Banking human and physical resources.

Identify strengths and development areas within the staff and ensure that the relevant coaching/training is undertaken.

Develop a pipeline of talent to ensure continued business development in the Bank.

Co-ordinate all Retail Banking activities and liaise with other business functions and departments for all Retail Banking requirements.

Develop new products and reshape the existing to meet customer needs and grow market share.

Create and maintain partnership to develop business.

Ensure delightful customer experience within Retail Banking through the resolution of all related customer inquiries and timely closure of cases raised.

Make regular branch visits to cascade the strategy, support in deals generation, discuss Retail Banking performance and agree on performance improvement plans with Branch Managers and Branch staff.

Develop, grow and monitor retail liability and asset portfolios with the aim of ensuring that the Retail Banking Segment remains profitable, competitive and promptly reacts to changes in both the internal and external environment.

Monitor and Manage customer complaints, constantly review service delivery standards, and position staff in a way, which ensures maintenance of the highest service standards.

Conduct continuous evaluation of customer's financial position, risk appetite and product preferences.

Review the market situation and client needs from time to time to provide suitable solutions.

Attend client events for networking and marketing the Bank services and products. ** Daily Responsibilities.**

Stakeholder engagement to ensure Retail Banking strategy has required support and focus.

Conduct periodic review to ensure overall expenditure is within departmental budget.

Investigates reasons for budget variance and establish ways to reduce the variance.

Responsible for leading the achievement of financial targets for Retail Banking portfolio.
Educational qualifications and work experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Banking, Finance, or relevant field.
- Professional course in banking or related qualifications.
- Master’s degree in business administration, Banking, Finance, or relevant field.
- At least 8 Years of Experience Required.
- Business Development & Forecasting and Product Development knowledge is an added advantage.
- Experience in Credit Analysis
